Overview

The Economy system is one of two paths to winning a Season of Iron to Empire. Kingdoms earn Economy Points by depositing special currency items — called Crowns — at server-protected Empire Vaults scattered across the world.

There are no shortcuts. Crowns require rare crafting materials to create, and getting them to a bank involves real travel — and real risk. The Main Bank pays full value but sits in a contested hotspot. Lesser Banks pay half, but are generally safer to reach.

Economy Points combine with War Points to determine your kingdom's Season Score — the ultimate leaderboard that crowns the winner at season's end.

Crowns — The Currency

Crowns are custom crafted items — the only material accepted at Empire Vaults. They can also be purchased in the Shop

Crowns stack up to 64 and can be carried in bulk to a bank for a single large deposit run. Plan your trips carefully — the journey is half the challenge.

Common Crown

Common Crown
  • ×1 Netherite Ingot
  • ×2 Diamond
  • ×3 Emerald
  • ×3 Gold Ingot

⚠ Carry Risk
Crowns in your inventory are lost on death like any other item. Escort your Crown carriers to the bank, especially during wartime when your claimed land loses protection.

🏦

Empire Vaults — The Banks

There are two classes of Empire Vault. Both accept Crowns, both are ungriefable and fully server-protected — but they differ in return rate and location risk.

Main Bank

Empire Vault

100% 1 Crown = 1 Economy Point
  • Located in the central hotspot
  • High-traffic, high-PvP zone
  • Full value — no penalty
  • Strategically contested
Lesser Bank

Regional Vault

50% 1 Crown = 0.5 Economy Points
  • Scattered in regional zones
  • Lower risk to reach
  • Half value on all deposits
  • Good for smaller, frequent runs
ℹ Bank Hours
Empire Vaults are only open from 8:00 AM to Midnight server time. Deposits attempted outside these hours are rejected. Plan your runs during open hours — late-night crafting sessions should save Crowns for the morning.

Bank Rules

Ungriefable
Bank buildings are fully protected. No explosions, no raiding. The vault itself is always safe — the danger is getting there.
Open hours enforced
Deposits outside 08:00–00:00 server time are disabled. You'll receive a message if you try to deposit while a bank is closed.
Large deposit alerts
Deposits above the configured threshold may trigger an optional server-wide announcement — large economic plays can attract attention.
Kingdom tracking
Points are always credited to the depositing player's kingdom — not the player themselves. Solo players with no kingdom cannot contribute to the leaderboard.

How to Deposit

1
Craft your Crowns Gather the required materials and craft as many Common or Rare Crowns as you can. Crowns stack to 64 so you can carry a full inventory worth in one trip.
2
Hold the Crowns in your main hand Navigate to a bank location. Make sure you're holding the Crowns you want to deposit in your main hand before using the deposit command.
3
Arrive at an open Empire Vault Travel to either the Main Bank or a Lesser Bank. Check it's within open hours (08:00–00:00 server time) before making the journey.
4
Use /bank deposit Run the command while standing at the vault with Crowns in hand. Economy Points are credited to your kingdom immediately and persist through restarts and wars.

Economy Score & the Season Leaderboard

Your kingdom's total Economy Score is the running tally of all Economy Points earned from Crown deposits. At season's end, the top 10 kingdoms by Economy Score each earn Season Points on a sliding scale.

💡 Tied Economy Scores
If multiple kingdoms share the same Economy Score rank, they all receive the same Season Points. Three kingdoms tied for 3rd all earn 8 pts — no tiebreaker, no splitting.

Season Score Example

Economy Points feed into the Season Score alongside War Points. A kingdom dominant in one but absent from the other can still be beaten by a balanced rival.

⚖ Example — Kingdom A vs. Kingdom B
Kingdom A — War Rank 2nd 9 pts
Kingdom A — Economy Rank 4th 7 pts
Kingdom A Season Score 16 pts
Kingdom B — War Rank 1st 10 pts
Kingdom B — Economy Rank 11th 0 pts
Kingdom B Season Score 10 pts

Kingdom A wins the Season despite being second militarily — because they showed up economically. Ignoring the economy, even as the best war kingdom, can cost you the crown.

Player Market

Beyond Crown deposits, the server supports a player-run market economy through designated Market Zones inside Admin Claims. These are areas where players can set up shops using the Shopkeeper plugin — selling materials, tools, goods, and services to other players for the server currency ($).

Markets are the backbone of the kingdom treasury system: members earn $ through trade and labor, pay taxes into the kingdom treasury, and that treasury funds land claims, war declarations, and daily operations.

ℹ Admin Claims & Market Zones
Market Zones exist inside server-protected Admin Claims. Inside them, PvP and land claiming are disabled. Only specific commerce commands are permitted, creating a safe trading hub in an otherwise dangerous world.

The Treasury Loop

Players earn $
Through market trade, mining, farming, and other server activities.
Kingdom taxes collected
A flat or percentage tax is automatically collected from members at a set interval and deposited into the kingdom treasury.
Treasury funds operations
Pays $10/day per claimed chunk, 10% treasury cost on war declarations, and $100/day treasury drain during active wars.
Materials → Crowns → Economy Score
The strongest economies convert raw material wealth into Crowns and bank them — turning market success into Season Points.

Strategy Tips

💡 Escort Your Bankers
The biggest deposits happen in the most dangerous moments. Organize a group escort to the Main Bank for your Crown carriers — a handful of defenders can mean the difference between 50 Economy Points landing or being lost on the road.
💡 Use Lesser Banks for Safety
If you're only carrying a few Crowns, the 50% return at a Lesser Bank may be worth the reduced risk. Save your large accumulation runs for the Main Bank when you have protection — and when the bank is open.
💡 Divide Labor in Your Kingdom
Assign roles: dedicated miners gather Netherite and Diamonds, farmers gather Emerald-worth trade goods, and a crafting team produces Crowns. Coordinated production dramatically outpaces solo players trying to do everything.
⚠ Watch the Bank Hours
Banks open at 8:00 AM and close at midnight server time. Don't show up for a major deposit run at 12:15 AM — the vault will reject you and you'll need to carry the Crowns home safely.
ℹ Economy Doesn't Reset on War Loss
Your kingdom's Economy Score persists through wars. Losing a war costs treasury money and land — but your accumulated Economy Points on the Season leaderboard are untouched. Economic progress is protected even in defeat.
